Hey friends! We are so glad you’re here!
We’re the Taylor family, a self-proclaimed outdoor adventure family. I’m Krista (and I will be the one writing here), my husband is Mike (he plans the majority of our travels), and the littles are Mason, age 10 (who just needs any body of water wherever we go), and Ella, age 4 (who asks on the regular if we are on our way to our hotel- she’s had her share of travels already!).
We love to spend as much time as possible outdoors, and exploring new or favorite places! Camping is our jam. I have to admit, we aren’t really tent campers (although we aren’t opposed to it- I grew up tent camping), but it sure is nice to have a camper with a real bed, A/C and heat, and a fridge!
Aside from camping, we like to hike, swim, and do all the family-friendly activities, including aquariums, zoos, wildlife areas, conservation centers, festivals, etc. We recently started checking off as many U.S. National Parks as we can get to (19/63 currently)!
When we aren’t out on an adventure somewhere, we are at home in Southern Illinois, enjoying the country life. Right now, we have 2 dogs and 3 goats.

Our plan for this blog is to help other families get out and explore more! We will be sharing fun things to do for our more local friends (Southern Illinois, Southeast Missouri, St. Louis Area, and the Midwest) as well as family road trip & vacation ideas all around the U.S. for everyone! We will also share our favorite hikes, free things to do, travel tips, and more!
